George and Jimmy are brothers and fond of practicing martial arts since childhood. They were brought in a poor family by their blind widowed mother. As they grew up, they head for different ways. George takes up a professional training while Jimmy enjoys himself in motor-cycling, gambling and fighting. Since Jimmy is so good at kung-fu, the rascals call him 'The Thunder Prodigal'. He joins with his best friend Lung, 'That Tattooed Dragon’; they are being called `Golden Fists of a Duo'. They got fame in the underworld. They are hired as assassins by Keung who aims at eliminating his opponent and taking hold of a huge business. On a mission, Lung is arrested and Jimmy takes up a chance to escape. Incidentally Jimmy meets George who is very upset about his brother. Jimmy being convinced by his brother decides to leave the gangster and start a new life. Keung is very angry and swears to kill, this betrayer. When Lung is released from jail, Keung persuades him to lead a group of bandits to kill Jimmy. After a desperate fight, Lung finds out Jimmy is innocent, and sacrifices his life to his best friend. 'The Thunder Prodigal' is now really thundering. Death
