Based on a Chinese folk tale, this is the story of a forbidden romance between Janyi, a white snake ghost, and Holeman, a poor medicine man living a simple life. Janyi wants to be his wife but because he's so poor that he can't afford to marry her she sets out to change his destiny by
interfering with mother nature. But the more she does, the worst his life gets, so when Holeman finds out from a Taoist monk that she isn't human, she must use her spiritual powers to win back her love.
