Deep in the forest, a magic warrior master finds an unconscious young boy clinging to a rock by a river. When he wakes up, he has apparently lost his memory. The master teaches him everything that he knows except one last powerful magic trick. The young boy grows up to be a strong and skilful warrior named Aex, and after rescuing a young woman from a panther, he falls in love. He is asked to build a giant dam at Citarum River, so needs to capture the magical power that his master held back from him.
